About the club.
Welcome to the Basildon model boat club website for 2011, hope you enjoy, and let us have your comments. 
We are a small club with 40+ members.
We meet every Sunday between 10 am-2 pm and are based in Billericay, Essex, with members interests in all aspects of model boat building and sailing, both scale and sail. 
We have a large lake at Lake Meadows,Beside the Golf course.
There are no restrictions on model size.
Unfortunately only Electric or sail allowed
Tea & coffee supplied (small donation required).
Membership is open to anyone who wishes to join, there are no restrictions or limits on membership,
We are a friendly club who will assist anyone with their model building.
Small membership fee of £20 (annually)which includes your liability insurance.
Large secure hut on site in case of bad weather.
Toilet facilities nearby.
Disabled access.
